There are many factors affecting the service life of lithium batteries, mainly due to the following reasons:
1. Aging of lithium battery materials
The materials inside the 48v lithium battery mainly include positive and negative active substances, adhesives, conductive agents, collectors, diaphragms and electrolytes. During the use of lithium batteries, these materials will be accompanied by a certain degree of decay and aging.
2. Charging and discharging system
A comprehensive comparison of several common charging methods was made. It was found that the constant current charging in the later stage caused the internal gassing of the lithium battery and damaged the lithium battery due to excessive current; However, the current of constant voltage charging is too high at the initial stage of charging, which directly damages the 51.2v lithium battery; Constant current and constant voltage charging and step constant current charging methods overcome the shortcomings of constant current charging and constant voltage charging, and have the least damage to lithium batteries. They are most widely used at present.
3. Temperature
Different types of lithium batteries have different environmental temperature requirements. Too high or too low temperature will have a direct or indirect impact on the service life of lithium batteries. Taking 18650 type lithium iron phosphate battery as an example, the capacity of the lithium battery declines slowly when it is cycled at room temperature, while at 55 ℃ or higher, the lithium battery will show some failure behavior.
4. Monomer consistency
Lithium battery modules generally connect several single 48v LiFePO4 lithium batteries in series or in parallel. According to the research, the life of the lithium battery pack is always shorter than that of the single lithium battery with the shortest life. The life of the single lithium battery with a life of 1000 times is less than 200 times after being grouped. Before the actual group application of lithium batteries, the selection and matching process will be carried out to remove the single cells with large differences in performance parameters, so as to minimize the impact of differences in the manufacturing process of home lithium batteries on the use performance.
These are the main factors that affect the life of lithium batteries. It can be imagined that a high-quality and high-performance lithium battery needs to go through a complex and rigorous production process, and then go through professional and authoritative testing to enter the market and provide continuity for people's daily life
