Tesla Model 3, which was unveiled at the Shanghai Auto Show on July 5, 2018, uses lithium iron phosphate battery as the power battery. However, we know that the battery materials of Tesla Model 3 are mainly ternary materials: graphite (LiFeF) and ternary materials (LiFeNCM811), among which ternary materials are the most used materials in lithium batteries, accounting for about 70% of the total; The other half of the power battery is from silicon iron phosphate (LiFeNCM811). The cell manufacturing process includes cell packaging, cell manufacturing, lithium battery testing, battery production and manufacturing, battery sales and other links, which requires a lot of manpower, material and financial resources to complete. Of course, the manufacturing process is also divided into many levels, and each level of process is relatively high, so the manufacturing process is more important. If the manufacturing process is not good, the cost of manufacturing a battery in the product will increase accordingly. For example, when a battery enterprise uses a ternary lithium ion battery for charging, it will spend more time and human capital from assembly to discharge to energy density test. If the manufacturing process is not good or the battery manufacturing process does not meet the expected requirements of the enterprise, it will lead to the failure to meet the expected requirements in the product, which will also increase the battery production cost. Therefore, the manufacturing process has a great impact on the battery production cost.

In terms of service life, domestic wall mounted lithium battery are nearly 10 years longer than imported lithium batteries. For example, in 2016, Panasonic released the Panasonic TLC3020, with a capacity of 390 mAh. The actual service life was more than 30 years, and the attenuation was more than 50%. This kind of battery is close to being scrapped. The imported lithium battery is a cylindrical lithium battery with longer service life. So imported lithium batteries are much cheaper than domestic ones!
